Omega Watch Co., Switzerland, a single owner "Speedmaster Professional" wrist chronograph, ref.145.022-69, cal. 861, manual winding, 17 jewel gilt movement with lever escapement, in a stainless steel case with dot over 90 bezel, black dial with luminous markers, constant seconds, minute and hour registers, luminous baton hands, serial #29118182, 42mm, c1969.
CONDITION:
CASE: Minor dings and scratches; Bezel with losses to paint; Plastic crystal with minor scratches; Back with small gouge from case wrench. DIAL: Very good original dial. HANDS: Very good original hands; Spotting on register and seconds hands. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Specks of dirt / dust. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), needs service. COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly. The consignor purchased this watch prior to his departure for Vietnam in 1969. He spent much of his tour as part of a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol team, surveilling sites in Cambodia, and the A Shau valley.
